"YOLO HOTEL" is a new service that has been started to let our guests meet each other
On Thursday, December 19, 2019, YOLO JAPAN Co., Ltd. (Representative Director: Taisuke Kaji, Tokyo Head Office: Minatoku, Tokyo) launched new services, "Would you like to have dinner with me tonight?" and "Would you like to share art in your room?" at the "YOLO HOTEL MUSEUM" operated by "YOLO BASE," an inbound work training facility located in Osaka, Shin-Imamiya.
The new service, "YOLO HOTEL MUSEUM," was started with the purpose of promoting communication between our various guests from different nationalities and backgrounds so that they will be able to meet and get to know each other.
For the new service, "Would you like to have dinner with me tonight?" guests who wish to have a meal with other guests will be asked to fill out a "Contact Sheet" form with their name, room number, nationality, and phone number. When information from 6 people has been collected via the Contact Sheet, the hotel will give out a free red or white wine.Guests who have been matched together will be able to enjoy a meal and conversation along with this wine at the restaurant next to the YOLO HOTEL MUSEUM.
Also, even if the total is below 6 people, if Contact Sheets other than yourself are collected at the front desk, although there will be no free provision of wine, guests will be matched up with other guests. In the future, in cooperation with the restaurant, we are also considering other initiatives such as presenting a free light meal when 4 people gather together. Our focus is to stimulate communication between our guests. We will actively create a place for our guests so that they will be able to enjoy multi-national encounters at the YOLO HOTEL MUSEUM.In the future, in cooperation with the restaurant, we are also considering other initiatives such as presenting a free light meal when 4 people gather together. For the other new service, "Would you like to share art in your room?" in the guest rooms there are art pieces from a total of 100 artists. On the guest room doors we will stick a magnet that has a 'Knock on the door instagram my art (if you would like to share the art in my room, please knock!)' written on it. Through this idea, we hope that other guests will visit each of the rooms and be able to enjoy art together.
We will encourage the promotion of communication between our hotel guests and the spreading of art through Instagram posts
These services were created by YOLO JAPAN and GRApP Co., Ltd. outsourced by the YOLO HOTEL MUSEUM, and also our foreign staff who work at the hotel.
At YOLO HOTEL MUSEUM we have a variety of staff from over 10 different countries. Utilizing this aspect, we are providing services based on their perspectives and opinions.
About the new services, the following opinions were expressed by our foreign staff:
"If I were a guest, I would definitely participate! I will do my best to come up with ideas so that the guests will be able to thorougly enjoy meeting and connecting with one another and they will not leave after drinking one bottle of wine." (Sri Lanka, 20s, female)
"There is a possibility that our Japanese guests may not fully enjoy the experience, but on the other hand if they experience the service for the first time and love it, that would be great! I will attend to the guests, so that not only foreigners but all of our guests will be able to enjoy interacting with one another!" (India, 20s, female)
"I hope I will do a good job attending to the guests, I feel a bit nervous, but I think this plan is going to be interesting for sure, and I would like to help to make it a success!" (Taiwan, 20s, man)
Before starting this new service, we also interviewed our hotel guests about it. The following are some of the voices from our guests:
"It sounds very interesting. When I came to Japan alone I was feeling lonely, so the next time I come I will participate." (France, 40s, male)
"It takes courage on my part to initiate conversation with strangers, so such a plan would make me happy." (Sweden, 20s, female)
"I was able to make friends with workers, but I never thought of talking to guests before, I would definitely like you to follow through on this plan." (Thailand, 20s, male)
YOLO JAPAN will continue to make new ways to work in the hotel industry for foreigners, and we will create an environment where staff and guests will be satisfied.
